Code for Sustainable Homes (CSH)

The Code for Sustainable Homes is a new national standard for sustainable design and construction using a 1 to 6 star rating system to communicate the overall sustainability performance of a new home. The Code sets minimum standards for energy and water use at each level and also gives new homebuyers better information about the environmental impact of their new home and its potential running costs. It also offers builders a tool with which to differentiate themselves in sustainability terms. We can offer advice and assessment to help you meet these requirements. Please contact us for further details.

SAP Calcs

SAP (Standard Assessment Procedure) Calculations are used to assess the energy performance of new homes. This has been a requirement for all new build homes since April 2006. We provide this service through an accredited SAP assessor who will require drawings and specification of your development. Please contact us for further details.

EPC Assessment

An Energy Performance Certificate is now required for new homes. This can be supplied without requirement for a site visit, using the information provided in your SAP calculations. Please contact us for further details.

Acoustic Testing

Some dwellings such as flats and semi-detached or terraced houses are subject to acoustic testing in accordance with Part E of the building regulations. Anglia Air Testing can arrange for testing, certification and consultancy via our colleagues at IEC.
