The Air Testing taking place in Peterborough took some work, none of the walls had been sealed. By this I mean, where dot & dab is used, where the plasterboard meets the floor, there is always a gap. This gap needs to be filled/sealed. We recommend the gap between to be filled with expandable foam before the skirting is fitted. Then, once the skirting is fitting, we recommend you mastic along the bottom on the skirting (Where it meets the floor). This should guarantee an air tight seal.

This was the case for the air leakage testing in Peterborough. But as the skirting was already fitted, we had to suggest sealing along the bottom of the all of the skirting. This should be enough to seal the walls. This was the main area of leakage within the property. Once this was resolved, the air tightness testing went as it should.
